"One day Jacob was cooking a stew. Esau came in from the field, starved. Esau said to Jacob, 'Give me some of that red stew --I'm starved!' That's how he came to be called Edom (Red). Jacob said, 'Make me a trade: my stew for your rights as the firstborn.' Esau said, 'I'm starving! What good is a birthright if I'm dead?' Jacob said, 'First, swear to me.' And he did it. On oath Esau traded away his rights as the firstborn." Genesis 25:29-33 (The Message)
What are you giving up for temporary fulfillment?
I can guarantee you that bowl of stew only filled Esau's belly until he was hungry again that evening, but that temporary filler was temptation enough for Esau to trade away his birthrights as the eldest son. It may sound ridiculous to you. You may say, "Oh I would never trade away an inheritance for a bowl of stew!"
But you're trading rest for money.

You're trading your health for a high.
You're trading time with your spouse for Facebook.
You're trading peace for popularity.
You're trading your kids for selfish desires.
You're trading your savings account for shopping trips.
And you're trading your relationship with God for a relationship with the world.
What are you giving up for temporary fulfillment?
