Time is Short

When you look ahead in life to when your kids are grown and out of the house, you realize just how short life is. When you look back 10-15 years and see how fast time went, you realize those years with your kids will be over in a blink of an eye. You notice it just a little when you have one child, but when you have a second, time goes even quicker and those things with your 1st child you thought you would never get through flew right past your radar with your 2nd child.
Christmas time is upon us and soon after that in February I will be planning my sons 3rd birthday party and then in April I will be planning my daughter's 1st birthday party. A time is coming (I already see it starting) all too soon when my son won't cry to mommy and daddy when he falls down, when he won't want to sit in our laps, he won't want to be where we are every minute of the day. Then right behind him following in his footsteps will be his sissy. Honestly it makes me sick to my stomach and breaks my heart to know that those days will be upon me before I know it. I know I have two choices either to sit and cry about it and hope it won't come or realize those days are coming and take what days I do have with them right now and instill in-them the things that will carry them through life which is showing them my love, showing them the basics of life, and showing them how a true family should be. How a man and woman should treat people and how they should be treated, and to show them and help them to understand that none of this is possible without out our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And hope that when it is all said and done and they are ready to face the world without mommy and daddy, that they can stand on their own two feet knowing they are loved, knowing how to love, and bringing many people to Jesus Christ in Love.
Time is way too short mothers to put things ahead of your children. My prayer to you mothers is that you will take time to be a mother. Take time to love your kids, to play, to pray, to laugh, to hold, to cry with your kids. Take time to teach your kids what is really important in life. Take time to teach and show your kids the love of Christ. Because when all is said and done you don't want to look back and wonder what you did with your kids. You want to look back and know what you did with your kids and know that you can let them go in confidence and know without a doubt they they are going to do and be something great in this life for Christ.

Remember in the end Jesus is the only reason. Without Him we have no reason PERIOD!!!!!

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever would believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. -John 3:16

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.  -Matthew 6:33

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. -Proverbs 22:6

You Are A Great Mommy
